Nurse call systems are a special type of paging system. These systems call, triggered by the patient or person seeking for help, a person rendering assistance. The call is sent with an equal call button to the central network. It could also be sent additional with a DECT phone system. Call acknowledgement and cancelling of a call is necessary too, according to relevant norms.
